The LAB PID is a stationary Photoionisation measuring system for permanent monitoring and measurement of a broad range of total volatile organic compounds (VOC). A hollow cathode lamp (10.6 eV) will be used as ionization source. This lamp provides a high stable light output and a guarantied life time for more than 5000 hours (typical up to 10000 hours).

Via the optional analog 4 .. 20mA, the wet compensated and linearized measured value is output in different areas.
In co-operation with its partners, ACI manufactures electrodeless discharge lamps with different gas fillings in the low-pressure range. The glass bodies with special outlet windows (Suprasil, MgF2) are located in a nickel-plated cast aluminium housing in EMC-tight design.
A gas reservoir enables an operating time of up to 20,000 hours. An internal ignition mechanism ensures reliable ignition behaviour.
